A Very Unusual But Successful VoIP 9-1-1 Call

This morning at 4:43 a.m. the St. Clair County CENCOM 9-1-1 Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) received a frantic VoIP call. Read the full press release here.

Communications Center Relocation

CENCOM 911 PSAP is now operating out of the new communications center. In August, 2005 CENCOM relocated from the St Clair County Sheriff's Dept building to the ETSB building, which was recently remodeled to incorporate a new state-of-the-art communications center in the south portion of the building. The 911 administrative offices remain on the north side of the building.

New Countywide Radio System

The ETSB has undertaken a project to upgrade the radio system in St Clair County. The new, state-of-the art trunked radio system is now operational and is being used by county personnel. Please see the Radio Project page or the STARCOM21 page for more information.

Paging System

In conjunction with the radio project, St Clair County has also put in a new countywide simulcast text and tone paging system. This new three-site system is now operational.
